Question about 1992 Chevrolet Astro Extended
Check your fuel pump relay mounted on the passenger side of the car on the fire wall under the hood. I just had the same exact problem. I replaced the fuel pump, the fuel filter and disconnected and cleaned all the fuel lines before I figured out this simple solution.

I had two similar probs with a blazer 4.3L the fule pump runs but with not enough pressure to start the engine you must have more fule pressure to start the engine than to keep it running.
also there is a rubber seal connecting the pump to the line in side the tank if the rubber ripped or cracked it fits your situation.
take the rubber out and rig it with a piece of 100 psi fule line and a couple og stainless steel gear clamps instead of buy ing all the expensive items. good luck.
