Question about 1988 Daihatsu Charade
Probably too late for a reply, but the CB60 engine runs rich because it needs the cooling from the fuel. If it's obviously far too rich, check your float level in the carby and that the fuel pressure reguulator has the vacuum hose fitted and that the vacuum hose is in good condition.
The only adjustment for fuel is the idle mixture screw which is usually shrouded to stop the fiddles. The adjustment is to screw it all the way in then trun it out about seven turns. As this is only for the emulsion circuit, it will have only a minor effect on normal driving fuel enrichment.
