Question about 1991 Volkswagen Passat
At the bottom of the arm with a screw driver take off the plastic cover then its just as simple as tightening the nut

Couldn't find an answer here on the internets...
took a flathead screwdriver, popped off the top housing cover, undid the bolt, removed the wiper arm.
checked that the motor was still functioning- it was.
looked inside the contact area of the wiper arm... the grip threads were old and stripped. (i need a new wiper arm.)
put the old stripped one back on and cranked on the bolt... Works fine for now... easy- 10 minutes.
