MY 2000 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LARADO HAS THE AIR CONDITIONER GO OUT WHEN THE OUTSIDE TEMP RAISES. WE TURN IT ON & OFF & PUSH THE A/C BUTTON WITH INDICATOR LIGHT & THE AIR CONDITIONING RETURNS AT TIMES.

THE JEEP PARTS MAN SAID IT MAY BE THE PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD. WE HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NEW. WE TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER & THEY SAID IT WORKS FINE.

Try reaching under the passenger side dash (beneath the glove box) and move the wires around that go to the blower motor. A lot of times they get too hot and start malfunctioning. Same thing happened to mine and it runs fine now after moving them to a different position

Might be an expansion vaulve under the dash..think I am having the same problem

Why my camry V6 2008 A/C Compressor Clutch Won't Engage?

There are a number of cut out switches on the AC system that will prevent the clutch from engaging. The most common reason for this is the low side pressure switch. This switch will not allow the AC to function if the R-134a or R-22 is too low or has leaked out completely. This prevents the AC from turning on and burning out.My suggestion is to take your car into a garage that has the equipment to do a diagnostic on your AC system and go from there. There are kits available to the car owner for around 50 dollars that include gas but I find half the time the money is better put toward someone that knows what they are doing. good luck

Idling goes up and down

If the air conditioning is on, then the engines idle will increase when the air conditioning compressor cuts in, and slow down again when the a/c compressor cuts out again.
If your model has a heat switch, if this is on, then the engine will idle faster, until the engine temperature reaches about 50 deg C, then as the glow rail switches off, the idle also drops back to normal.

Air conditioning condencer needs replaced

Just found some information searching Google....Apparently the Accord condernsers are prone to damage from road debris. A few of the posts I found stated they paid $700-$800 for a repair.

Find a good mechanic (not a dealer, just ask around at work or ask your neighbord). Any reputable mechanic can replace it.
