Question about 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier
IS IT NORMAL FOR THE ENGINGE ON A 1997 CAVALIER ENGINE TOVIBRATE WHEN BROUGHT TO A STOP AS WELL AS MY HEATING THERMASTAT FOR THE ENGINE RISES QUICKLY NOT QHUITE ON THE H BUT PRETTY CLOSE MY MECHANIC SAID THATS NORMAL IS THAT TRUE?
That problem is because a malfunction in the electronic injection system, it is not normal... The electronic parameters, if not right, tend to fail due to overheating and injection system(more fuel used than usual). First you should check the fuel injectors and the oxigen sensor, because the problem is presented when the RPM are at 600-700 or near, this means that the low cycle of the car is NOT OK, don`t try a fuel injector cleaner in the fuel tank, simply it wont work.
You have to clean the entire fuel injection system from the pump to the output of the injector and then clean all the cooling system( this causes the car to work on high temperature conditions and with time it will damage the fuel injection system)

It depends, is the engine just vibrating or is it causing the whole car to shudder?
