Air conditioning air baffle in dash for 2004

How can I read the codes for the air conditioning air baffle system to tell if there is a control problem? The normal reader does not read these codes.
Also, the unit fails regularly even after dealer has charged me $$.

I found out you can read the codes by simultaniously pushing AC and Max air then turn the driver side temp control one click clockwise.
This works for 2001 to 2004, probably others toooo...

This may work, put your key in the ignition then turn the key to "ON" not running though. You will want to turn the key in this order
ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON, then on your dash a code may appear, write it down and look up what it means

2004 chevy trailblazer when I turn on the air con my dash lighs for ABS and Brake come on, my cruise goes off and the air con will not work.

Have you had the vehicle checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes ? I would start there first . Battery , charging system all good ? What computer , the ABS has a control module all to it self . The Air con has a relay in the under hood fuse box controlled by the PCM / engine computer . If there is a problem with ABS , The EBCM - electronic brake control module will turn on ABS and the red brake light .
A low voltage condition could cause this problem , but I would expect more of the lights to be lit on the dash . Including the check engine light , battery light . This are not connected , Power or ground wise . Have the vehicle checked for codes , that should be the first place to start any diagnostic's always !

HOW DO YOU RESET AIRBAG LIGHT ON 2004 CADILLAC ESCALADE

The air bag system checks itself every time the ignition is turned on. If the light stays on there is a problem with the system. The car needs to be pluged in to a scan tool to see what is wrong. There is a sensor under the radiator that is the most common. But its cheeper to check the codes than just start buying parts. Post the codes and we can help.

No heat or cold air will come out of my2004 Mitsubishi Galant. I took off the dash panel behind the glove box to get to the Blend Door Motor, but after turning the air from hot to cold at various speeds,...

Does the air blows through the dash board vents. Does the selector is functional, that means you can force the air stream through wind shield, or vents or down to the legs. If these things are OKthen check CONTROL PANEL.
Remove the trim plate surrounding the center instrument panel. Detach the electrical connectors and remove the control panel.

The heat dose not blow hot air

I had a similar problem with the A/C unit not blowing cold air, even though the compressor and bottle were running and charged. It turns out that there are two baffles under the dash that are moved around by two brassy colored arms. Both arms had become separated from the baffles, preventing the cold air from reaching the cabin. The other baffle control the direction of the air (panel, floor, defrost). Check those baffles to see if they are properly connected to the brassy control arms.

2004 Ford Crown Victoria no air flow through main air vents

Chances are the electronic/digital HVAC control unit is bad. This same problem happened to me and I had to replace the entire unit. The dealer wanted to charge $800 for just the part! After I freaked out on them, they found a used one for less than half. Sorry, but there's no easy fix here.
