Question about 2002 Ford F250 Super Duty SuperCab

1 Answer

2002 F250 Super Duty / A/C won't fnct

With engine running, the A/C will do nothing. The actuator switch seems to be functioning as I can here the release of pressure when the swith is dialed. However, the blower will not blow & air does not come out. I've checked the blower motor by wiring directly & it works.I've replaced the switches that control the blower speed & actuator, the fuses under the dash, the relay under the hood, the hi pressure sensor & low pressure sensor. I cannot hear any sound coming from the A/C clutch. I don't know what else to check! Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,

The air coming out of the vents have been weakening over the past couple weeks. The air is still cold coming out. Today the air wouldn't come out at all, I tapped around under the glove box and the fan is now running but very weak not fast enough to warrant running the a/c. Any suggestions on what the solution to this problem is.

    Need to be cool. THX

Blower motor continued weakening to the point that it wouldn't run without the persuasion of a tap under ther glove box, now that not working very well. Should I start with replacing the blower motor? Where can I find an online diagram of this removal and installation process. If anyone has time to help get me cooled off it would be much appreciated.

first, in the passengers side, there is a module that controls the fan speed, NOT the dial button, its located inside the cab, as noted, passengers side, where the passenger rest his foot, it has two screws and a connector, and has a thermic protection that is probably faulty, you can get this for 30 bucks or so.
second, have you perform a refrigerant test?
if the system does not have sufficient refrigerant charge, the pressure switch would not activate the compressor clutchTry this and get back to me, if you tell me more detailed info, i will happily help you.

Good luck............

You actually have enough power to operate the locks, but you have a bad actuator. I'm not sure where the actuator is on your truck, but go for the actuator getting replaced and you are good to go.

I have power to the doorlock switch, and it seems to be working fine. But I am not getting power to the actuators.

Sounds like you are getting power to the switch, but......not out of t6he rocker switch to the actuator, the rocker switch needs to be tested with a simply 12 v test light power in and power out should light it up.
If it is all good then check the wires going from the switch to the actuator, may be frayed, broken or a bad connection.
