How to turned off
You have to press the trip button until you come to the actual odometer and not the trip A and Trip B. Once your on the actual odometer screen press and hold the trip button down while at the same time turning off the engine. Then wait for a few seconds to clear. Then while still holding the trip button down turn on the ignition. The odometer will reset to all zeros and flash a few times then the maintenance light will go away.

With the igniition off, press and hold the odometer button, turn the key to the "on" position, but do not start the car. Keep the odometer button down until the oil light begins and ends flashing. Turn the key off, and then start car to see if it worked or not.

I have the same problem - the service required light will not go out. I have followed the manual by turning off the key, pressing and holding down the trip odometer button and turning the key to the 'on' position, but the light refuses to reset.
