There is a running change on the rear brake shoe web for 2003 GMC canyon. the change is on the heel end of the web. on the old design the radius curve had no upset. The change design has a hump. I have been told this hump supports a bar and spring assembly. This is what I want to know what does the device look like?

Replaced rear drum brake 97 f150 4x4. A spacer/washer oval in shape with 2 notches on outer edge and a rectangular hole in center. Where did it come from? Fell out while taking drum off.

I'm sorry but I don't have a diagram of this area. Unless you have a rear disc brake, to my knowledge not an option on that year model, the rear brake drum is setup pretty much the same as any other vehicle. The concept is essentially unchanged in decades for all vehicles.

1968 ford mustang brake line diagram

It's pretty simple. The front line from the mastercylinder should go into a tee, then from the tee to each front wheel. The rear the same way. No proportioning valve is needed with 4-wheel discs.

Brake line diagram

Brake Lines and Hoses
Double-walled steel line is used in the hydraulic lines between the brake master cylinder and the front tube connector, and between the brake master cylinder and the flexible brake hose at the rear wheels.
Double-flared brake lines provide good leak-proof connections.
When replacing hydraulic brake lines, hoses, or connectors, tighten all connections securely. After replacement, bleed the brake system; refer to Section 206-00 .
The wet appearance of the outer cover of the rubber brake hose is referred to as "sweating." This is a normal condition for neoprene rayon braid hose and is not a sign of leakage or cause for replacement of the hose.
