Question about 1997 Buick LeSabre
Lighting control module common problem under driver side of dash

You probably have a shorted headlight switch, which would need to be replaced. Does your car come equipped with auto-off lights? That's the type that can be left on, and shut themselves off after 30 seconds or so of having the ignition off. If this is the case, you may also have a stuck relay. Look under the hood for your relay box, and see if any are labeled as operating the headlights. Since a relay is a mechanical switch, you can tap on it lightly but firmly a few times to unstick it, if it is actually stuck. Try it out and see if it works.
