Question about 2006 Honda CR-V

SRS light is on, I have performed the memory reset a bunch of times. It seems like it worked ok, but still have SRS light on the dash board. How can I isolate the actual problem with the air bags?

It is only obvious that the dealer can run a diagnoses, I could have asked an old lady at the bus stop for that answer. I want real technical help, like, what resistance will I see at any of the air bag sensors, or even a link to a electrical schematic of the required circuit. The answer you provided is a joke, at best. Do you have any help-full information? Or have I wasted my time and money at your site?

Can I get some real help, other than take it to your dealer? If this is the best you have to offer, please let me know so I can go somewhere
else to get assistance for my problem. This seems like a major waste of my time and money.

Take the car to a local mechanic, they will connect the ECU to a machine and check if there is a real SRS problem, if the SRS is fine, they will either reset the ECU or replace the sensor.

The only simple thing that you can do at home to reset it is disconnecting car battery for five minutes, if SRS led is still on go to a mechanic, the vehicle is potentially unsafe.

For the rest, what do you expect from as. Your card has a warning light related to an important safety device. It is either a faulty sensor, the ECU (computer) jammed, or the airbag faulty.
You can try resetting computer by disconnecting battery five minutes (your car stereo and alarm may require a code afterward), if this does not work go to a garage and check out the car.

The airbag could actually have a fault, instead of this being a false alarm. A Honda Dealer can run the diagnostic.

I have 1998 honda civic lx , th srs light was come on , i just the reseted from youtube , but i got wrong wire for reseting, after reset the angine doesnt run , start , fueses everything is ok, only no...

What was your reset procedure? It should have been done with the yellow 2 pin check plug for SRS. The SRS system is isolated electrically from the rest of the vehicle systems, perhaps you got something loose under the dash while looking for the SRS plug, it is around a bunch of wiring. Also, if the light came on there is a failure. You should be getting the code read, it could be important. If the failure is a seat belt, they are covered by Honda on a lifetime warranty, at least in the USA. Did you check fuses in all the fuse boxes, under hood and under dash?

Srs light comes on the dash board. Any way to turn it off?

Nope.
Any time the system is disabled, the light is on.
You would need to have someone access the system module to get the code or codes to proceed. The system problem would have to be fixed to make the light go off unless you remove the system from the car.

Reset srs light on dash sprinter

Most cars and trucks can be re-set by disconnecting the negative batery cable for about 10 minutes...this should auto re-set to factory specs...if the light comes back on, you have wired into the wrong system. Hope this helps.

The SRS light will go off. Tell how to turn it off.

Hi, you cannot turn it off rather you have to reset it by following the instruction below...
  1. Turn ignition switch off, remove service connector cover.
  2. Connect (jump) the MES (Memory Erase Signal) connector (this is 2 pin connector wrapped on yellow plugged in the front of the under dash fuse box).
  3. Turn ignition switch on.
  4. SRS light will come on for 6 secs then go out, remove the jumper within 4 secs after the light goes out..
  5. The SRS light will come on again, reconnect the jumper within 4 secs after the light has come on.
  6. The SRS light will go off, remove the jumper with in 4 secs after the light has gone off.
  7. The SRS light will blink 2 times indicating the memory is reset.
  8. Turn the ignition switch to off and wait for 10 seconds.

However, the system does warn you of a system malfunction. The yellow "SRS" light on the dash will light up, indicating a problem with the system. Once you've fixed the problem, you need to know how to reset the SRS light on your Accord

Battery was low and put in new battery, problem SRC Light stays on how can I reset the SRC light?

I'm guessing you mean the SRS light, yes. When you have a bad battery the battery voltage can drop below 10 volts. The SRS unit detects this voltage loss and set a DTC (diagnostic trouble code) for an internal SRS unit failure. You have to erase the DTC memory. You'll need an SCS service connector tool (P/N 07PAZ-0010100) You can order one from your local honda dealer. Don't worry its not more than $10. Then you'll have to find the MES 2pin connector located in the upper right hand corner of the drivers underdash fuse box. It can be gray, green or yellow in color. 1.)Turn the ignition switch off. 2.)Unplug the MES connector from the fuse box and plug your SCS special tool into the MES connector. 3.) Turn the ignition switch on. 4.) The (red) SRS light in the dash will come on for 6 seconds and then go off. Remove the SCS tool from the MES (2P) connector within 4 sec. after the SRS light went off. 5.) The SRS light comes on again. Reconnect the SCS tool to the MES (2P) connector within 4 seconds after the SRS light came on. 6.) The SRS light goes off. Remove the SCS tool from the MES (2P) connector within 4 sec. 7.) The SRS light indicates that the memory is erased by blinking twice. 8.) Turn the ignition switch off and wait ten seconds. You may have to do this procedure a few time to get the steps correct. If this sounds to complicated I'm sure your local Honda dealer would be happy to reset the light for you for no charge. Just let them know that the battery was recently replaced and you think that the SRS light came on due to low battery voltage. -Hope this helps:)

2002 clk - srs light on all the time

think this is a dealer job ,the radio is connected via a big computerised circuit board behind the centre column of the dash .try giving the wires under the front seats a wiggle and make sure their are no coke cans or anything else under seats to damage the connections for the explosive seat belt restraint puller devices

Srs light on

1st you need to either buy or make the "SCS Service Connector" #07PAZ-0010100 from H and A Accesories for $3.51. Use a speaker harness for an older Honda which you can buy at a local stereo shop such as Circuit City or Best Buy, and cut the wires and looped them together. You can also use a paperclip but that will make it a little more difficult because you have to connect it and disconnect it a few times quickly. 2nd you need to find the MES (Memory Erase Signal) connector as pictured below scs_small.jpgsrs_plug_small.jpg
It is a yellow connector with two wires in it that is plugged into the fuse box, unplug it and pull it down. Once you have done that you can begin the process of erasing the memory. NOTE: This will only reset your SRS System if what caused it to trigger has been fixed, Ex: turning the ignition on with any SRS Plugs disconnected, such as pulling your seat out.

1st step in erasing the memory is to turn the ignition off and connect the SCS Service connector to the MES Plug.

2nd Turn Ignition on. SRS indicator light will come on for about 6 seconds then go off.

3rd Disconnect SCS service connector for MES connector within 4 seconds after SRS indicator light goes off. SRS indicator light will come on again.

4th Reconnect SCS service connector the MES connector within 4 seconds after SRS light comes on. SRS indicator light will go off.

5th Disconnect SCS service connector from MES connector within 4 seconds. SRS indicator light will indicate that memory is erased by blinking 2 times.

6th Turn ignition off, and wait 10 seconds. Start vehicle like normal and light should come on and go out like normal. You have reset your SRS light, congrats.

If it does not work the first time try it again, the timing has to be perfect. My first time it took me 3 attempts before it worked, but it did work.
