I am having the same issue. I recharged the freon and hopefully that helps. Another person said that there may be a short in the button...

Have the same problem. Even when I turn the AC off, it eventually starts blinking again without my having touched the button.

Ford festa mk6 2003 no power at ac switch ac not working fuse ok

Theirs more to it then the switch on the dashboard that controls the fan motor,
Their are other switches Hi and low pressure on the compressor or it could be a leak in the system .They use green dye in the R134 coolant under a black light it glows green .
You or me for that matter can't really repair AC units in the back yard its to specialized tools to test the system .
Take it to someone who is set up to do this .

The over drive light keeps blinking and AC blowing hot air. I have changed the fuses but they keep blowing

The overdrive light blinking, possibly is indicating a faullt in the trans. Changing the fuse will do nothing for this. Unsure on AC fault.

I have a 2007 impala. When you press the switch to turn on the A/C the light blinks and it won't come on. The temp. indicator on the dash is also showing -40.

This means there is a problem with the ac system, and clearing it you will have to find the ac fuse, and remove the fuse and then replace it after 20 seconds, then have the ac system checked to see if the freon is low,or another problem.

Blinking green light

most car manufacturers wire the a/c compressor to cycle when the defroster is on, this keeps the compressor from locking up do to non use, it also pulls humidity out of the air (keeping the moisture outside of the cabin) while cycling, on some cars, the a/c light will come on, others dont, some only intermittenly, may be that. hope this helps!!!

Blinking airconditioning lights

Hi there,

TO INITIATE TESTS:
1. Set blower to HIGH
2. Set mode position to PANEL (AC vent air)
3. Open all AC outlets
4. Temp. on full cold
5. Start engine
6. Push WASH and REAR WIPER switches for 5 seconds until all panel lights are on solid
System will then go through it's paces as it calibrates the climate controls
7. When calibration is complete only the REAR WIPER switch/light should be flashing. Press this switch to extinguish the light
This will stops blinking lights.....

Good Luck!!

Thanks

AC & Rear wiper switch button indicator lights blink

The procedure for re-setting the HVAC control panel on a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan follows:
With ignition on but not running
1. turn knob to air vents
2. turn fan knob to ON
3. temperature setting on COLD (2X) {I have dual temp controls}
4. hold top(rear wiper) and bottom (rear wiper with wash) buttons pressing down together until all the buttons cycle through (this will require 1 to 2 minutes of continuous pressing)
I learned this from a very helpful local Dodge service adviser
