Question about 1991 Subaru Legacy
I have a 1991 subaru legacy awd. The power light is flashing a code and I need to know where to look up the list of codes. Everyone has engine codes, but no tranny.
On my 98 Legacy I removed the cover below the steering column (RH drive vehicle) and looked for the 4 diagnostic plugs towards the centre of the car. Mine has 2 green ones and 2 black ones, normally unplugged. Just one or 2 wires in each. With ignition off I plug the black ones together, then turn on the ignition. The Check Engine light flashes our the code(s). eg 2 longs and 2 shorts = 22.

Doesnt anybody know how to retrieve the tcu fault codes on a 91 legacy awd 4EAT trans, And please dont dodge the question like everyone else has...you can get the process for later models,it has to do with ignition and the shifter.when you do this right, the led light on the tcu will blink out the codes.please steer me in the right direction,BUT not over a cliff i might try it at this point.......THANKS GUYS
