Question about 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD 2WD
I have owned 3 2500 HD trucks. 2000 GMC, 2002 Chevy and now a 2008 GMC. It is a company truck so I didn't pick it out. It seems to me that the throttle response time is very delayed and that it shifts into lower gears far to early. It has been to 3 different dealers and they all say its fine. One said that it had to low of a gear in it. Does anyone have a suggestion in rear end gears? Any performance suggestions? Air Filter etc. Other than that the truck is solid and tows well. Its the reg driving that aggravating.
Changing out your rear end gears is not the solution to your problem. If you are unhappy with the way your automatic transmission shifts, your mechanic should be able to adjust the computer that controls it to shift differently through all the gears. If your problem is when you launch the vehicle from a stop, you should consider having the idle raised a little, that should fix your problem.
