If the park brake isn't applied it is probably on due to low brake fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir. This reservoir is under the hood mounted on the firewall directly ahead of the drivers seated position. There is a switch inside the reservoir that activates the light when the fluid is low. So if it is low there may be a leak in the braking system or your brakes may be worn. It may be a good plan to have your braking system inspected. When you fill it, do not use oil !!! Use DOT 3 brake fluid only. Anything else will ruin the brake system.
The brake light may be on because of low fluid. The traction control is on because the abs light is on.System requires the abs to be actively working for traction control to work. The most common cause of this is a wheel speed sensor which on this vehicle is part of the bearing hub assembly. You will need a scan tool to locate where the fault is in the abs system.
howdy, when the solid red brake light is on without an ABS light, it is usually low brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir or the brake fluid level sensor in the reservoir is stuck or defective. let me know if this helps you ...... good luck.
