I have an Acura MDX 2003 and can't disable the factory security alarm... I don't have a remote

If it's a cheap aftermarket alarm, check for a red wire coming off the hot side of your battery with an inline fuse. If it's not, try to locate the alarm "computer" under the driver's side dash or nearby your fuse panel. You'll find a black box with a wiring diagram glued to the side, normally strapped to a wiring harness or other fixed element. If this is the type of alarm you have, you'll need to trace each wire coming from the alarm computer and unclip each fastener that's clipped to your vehicle's factory wiring. The trouble with these types of alarms is that they can get power from a number of sources (stereo, interior lights, etc.). Good luck with this one!

Van starts and only runs for a couple of seconds. I believe the security alarm is activated some how. would like to know how to disable the security alarm permanently

Check the owners manual for the fuse location and take out the fuse for the security system.

Locks set off alarm

Inside the door is a door switch that is called the tamper switch or door ajar switch, each door has one, it may be defective, it is the Ford designed switch and they have had problems. To confirm the next time the system goes off, unlock and lock the passenger door if it has a lock, my new car doesn't and I know many makes don't have any passenger side door lock cylinder. If doing that shuts of the security system the switch is surely defective or the wiring to it is damaged.

First you need to locate your fuse box i can help if you don't know where it is. Look for the diagram and find the alarm fuse and pull it. Another option is if you know where the alarm is to unplug it and it should stop. Let me know once you have tried this thank you.

I need to know which fuse is connected to the security alarm

the security system is not directly fused, so there is no fuse to remove, also removing power to the system in any way will result in a no start condition.

My horn alarm is engaged and sets when I open the door. Both remotes are broken, therefore I can't reset the alarm with the panic button. I have removed the fuse for the horn alarm to make it stop;...

LOL... MINE DID THAT ALSO ONE TIME THEN WE FIGURED OUT IF U REMOVE THE FUSE IT WONT START AND IF IT DOES IT WILL ONLY ALLOW U TO GO 20 MILES THEN IT SHUTS OFF!!! ITS A SECURITY FEATURE!!! SO IF IT EVER GOT STOLEN THE THEIF COULD ONLY GO 20 MILES UP THE ROAD!! I WOULD PUT THE FUSE BACK IN AND GO TO THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND GET A NEW REMOTE!

Security Alarm blows

take the fuse out of the alarm, connect the battery and then replace the fuse. Let me know if that helps. Thanks!
