Get into the truck and close and lock the door. place the key in and out of the ignition cylinder about six times(not too fast or slow) until you see the hazzard lights flash twice. then turn the key to the acc. position and then press the lock button on the remote(if lock doesn't work you can push another button on the remote). if the hazzard lights flash it is now programmed. then turn the key to off and pull it out and then unlock the door and open and close it. now test the remote.

Will my 2002 Jaguar(x-type) key work once it dries out from being washed in the laundry (accidently).

On the opposite side of the buttons or back side there is a small slot in the middle for a slotted screwdriver to be inserted and twisting it to either side will help to pry it open as this key is a two part body.
you can also carefully insert a blade from a small knife to help separate the two halfs.

Then, once separated, the half with the buttons is further a two part clam shells. So yo need to carefully use a slotted screwdriver or the blade. Just do not apply pressure towards your hand or body. Wiggle it to pry it open as it is pressured locked. Once you create a gap then work your way around it until it snaps apart. 8747d174-878b-446b-bcb6-e059f20bda7f.jpg

Once it is opened you expose the circuit board which is secured by a single small phillips head screw. Remove it and separate the board to expose the battery which is a 2032 3 volt round battery.
positive is down towards the shell.
Reverse the procedure to assemble and apply pressure with your fingers to snap the shells back. Cheers! You done it.

I have an audi a6 2002 & need to program remote. replaced battery and doesnt work. read other ways to program, but i only have one key... thanks

hi 8,
so you want to do it yourself... if to program car key of 2002 audi a6,
i think SBB key programmer is ok, it's a handheld car key programmer, and not very difficult to use.
and VVDI 8.6 is also a good tool for you, it's a multi-function tool specially for audi vw cars, but it's a little expensive,'s up to you

good luck and greetings

Your security system could have a problem, replace battery in keyless remote. If not helping you may have to take it somewhere and have security system checked

Turns over won't start, anti-theft system malibu 2002

your problem is the ((body control module)) , and its location is behind the glove box. to make sure this is your bad part you have to disconect the negative battery and then unplug the ((bcm)) connectors and push them back in again .. conect the battery aagain and start your car,, if it happens again in the near future you are gonna have to change the bcm module and programm it by the dealer

Need to replace key fob battery in a clio

the remotes are hard coded. if you are only replacing the batteries they will not need to be recoded. When a remote is programmed it is actually the car that is programmed to accept the remote, the frequency of the remote never changes.
