This is a very vague question, however likely causes for lack of compression in reference to a piston/cylinder arangement are worn rings/ cracked block/ blown head gasket. Please provide more details!

Thanks

Low compression cylinder

Low compression is a sign of a worn engine, head gasket, broken piston compression rings or a valve burnt or sticking, it needs a serious looking at for other faults, (smoking, lack of power, over heating, popping in exhaust or inlet) Possibly a full engine strip down, Good Luck.

Starving of fuel

Remove fuel filler cap and retry.

If no luck then check the engine for a vacuum leak.
You can try placing your hand over the carb intake and cranking or running the engine. If you feel a lack of vacuum, then you may have a vacuum leak. Check the intake manifold for cracks or gasket leaks.
Do a compression test on the engine. If it lacks compression, then it may also lack vacuum and may likely require major attention.

Lack of power thunderbird sc 1990

This code doesn't cause any lack of power, the fact of the matter is that code 25 is most likely a symptom of the problem, the engine has excessive spark knock being sensed. Have the engine compression tested and have it checked for a misfire. Also have the fuel pressure tested, low fuel pressure can cause this lack of power as well/

HAVE LOW POWER OUTPUT ON MY 2Y FOUR CYLINDER ENGINE WITH A CARBURATOR

I don't know this engine in detail, but we can make a few general statements. In that type of engine, lack of power can be caused by

- a bad spark (check spark plugs for gap and fouling, measure coil resistances, check plug leads)
- lack of fuel (weak fuel pump, blocked filter, blocked jets in carby)
- engine timing off spec (use a timing light to check this)
- lack of compression (use a compression gauge to check this)

Of all these, I'd start with engine timing, then look at a blocked jet in the carby.

Engine shut down during driving and wont restart

Three things cause an engine not to start. Lack of fuel, Lack of spark ( ignition ) and lack of compression. If you spray a little starting fluid into the aircleaner and it starts and theen quits, then you know it is a fuel problem if it won't start on starting fluid then it may be electrical. I am assuming the compression is good. If it was not then your engine would sound like a sewing machine when turning over. If it is electrical, there are quite a number of culprits, if it is fuel related suspect the pump or the power supply to the pump.

Pick up 3 litre lacks power excessive fuel

Sounds like valve problem. Get your local garage to check the compression, if your valves are worn, them the compression will be low.

If this is the case, then an engine strip down is required.

After 2 years of no use my f350 v10 has a lack of

Check the fuel after about a year gas tends to go bad. If it smells like varnish it's bad. If its not the fuel do a compression check This will tell you if the valves are seating properly and if the rings are in good shape. If it's the fuel drain it refill and add fuel treatment. If it's a lack of compression try adding Marvel Mistery oil to the oil this will free up the rings and valves. Good Luck
Hope this helps

95 Jeep Cherokee 0 compression in #2 cylinder.

If you have a 0 reading from cylinder 2 that means there is no compression from it and you need an enfine rebuild. It seems that there had been damage to the engine.Have it hooked up to a computer and check diagnostic code.Overheating of an engine can be very costly and damaging, rememeber that always.

Cylinder 4 misfire: lacks compression

the things that would cause lack of compression are:
  • bad headgasket
  • damaged piston rings
  • valves not sealing- could be exessive carbon build up, bad valve spring, bent valve
