LOUD whinnig noise from engine when i accelerate!

This is the situation, i was on the interstate doing about 60mph got on a straight away and and wanted to see how fast she goes. I punched the gas and i started to hear this loud whinning noise like you normally hear when you have an old belt. So i stoped and checked the power steering fluid and it was low. Fulled it back up and the noise is still there every time i give the car gas. My steering is really stiff now and i dont know if my pump went out or the system has air in it or what! Any suggestions on what it could be!

It very well could be the strut.
smaller chance could be the CV axle.
Also have the splash guards/heat shields checked to make sure they are all tight in place.

Last night after coming off the interstate i made a sort of hard left then went to accellerate. Thats when i noticed a dramatic loss of initial power and loud engine noise. The engine noise persisted...

sorry....you have spun a rod bearing the engine nose is the piston hitting the bottom of the cylinder head, because the rod bearing has spun and have stacked on top of each other, sounds like you are going to need an engine, but the good news is there a lot of used ones out there, check with your local salvage yard.

Loud noise when driving on the interstate, so loud...

Where is the noise coming from? If it is coming from your wheels then it would be your wheel bearings. They can get so loud that you cant hear a thing inside your car due to vibration.

Loud airblowing/whisping noise while accelerating.

The seals around the windows, are where the noise is coming from, and yes, it's normal.

Loud air intake engine noise on startup

I would guess it is the electronic fan clutch. It will cause the fan to run too fast (very loud) and the light will come on sometimes.
