1996 jeep cherokee temp gauge reads hot 10 mins. after start-up

If you have a viscous fan hub then have it replaced as it is not drawing air through the radiator at idle or slow speed (crawling traffic). Check that are no air locks in the system as they will cause heating problems.

Temp gauge goes up when sitting in traffic and at light but goes down while driving

Check the operation of the radiator fan and relay. This has typically failed under these circumstances.
Once the vehicle is in motion, there is enough air being forced through the radiator to cool it down.
When sitting in traffic, it's the fan's job to cut in and pull air though the radiator.

Temp gauge is rising at 3/4 of the way even while traveling down the interstate, once a/c was turned off it started to go back down but would still go up if sitting still running, what would cause this?

change the antifreeze and flush your system, its been hot lately so the motor heat goes up too, having the AC on makes the motor work harder, so thats normal that the temp would rise when its on. traveling on the road allows air to help cool the motor, sitting in traffic slows the air, so there again heat will increase

My problem just about heating every think is OK in cooling system but when traffic is low my car become overheating...

If your car is overheating then everything is not ok in the cooling system. If it happens mostly in traffic make sure the coolant level is not low and that the cooling fans are functioning.

Car temp went up air condination blew hot while stuck in traffic but once traffic moved everything was fine again

Your electric fan for the radiator is not working. When sitting in traffic you will need the fan for air flow which cools the radiator and air conditioning condensor. When driving fan is not needed do to air flow from driving.

I have petrol smells coming from my air vents, is this common. Mostly happens when sitting in traffic.

No not common. Check to see if petrol is leaking anywhere. Check good this is unsafe. Sitting in traffic gives the fumes time to rise up. Try closing the vents if possible but certainly check for raw petrol.

Weird humming noise & over heating while sitting in traffic

The humming is the noise the coolant makes when the car overheats and forces open the relief valve in the radiator cap and flows through the small hose to the recovery bottle., it you had all this work this done only 2 things can cause the issue, one is a problem with the cooling fan, the other is a blown head gasket, which I suspect is the problem, before you flushed the system was the coolant rusted?
