Have a current problem with my 94 ex. Use a paperclip and check your Engine code. Mine blinked 3 times which told me it was my MAP sensor. Its easy and saves you the time of some garage charging you 110 bucks to hook up their computer. Not sure if you can do it on a 99. Find out.

email me if you have more questions.

I drive a opel corsa 1.3, 1997 model fuel injector. the car was fine all along until i replaced alternator brushes. as soon as i started the car, it was idling fine,it jurks and no power

Have you tested the alternator for proper operation? Sometimes it takes a while for the brushes to conform to the shape of the slip rings. The alternator has to be working in order to keep the engine running. If the computer senses no alternator input, it thinks there has been an accident and shuts down.

Cause driving along and car shuts off give engine power loss and starting disabled in info center can happen while driving or just sitting idling

Look at your ignition switch for a recall. Tough to know for sure since you failed to say what kind of car you have.

Car electrical blinks

Check your connections at the battery and alternator. Make sure they are tight. Also make sure that your positive battery cable is not shorting out against anything.

JUST PUT A NEW BATTERY IN MY 2003 ENVOY AND ONCE I STARTED IT IN WENT TO A LOW IDLE ALMOST WANTING TO STALL. I TURNED OFF THE HEATER CONTROL AND I ALSO WANT TO STALL, EVENTUALLY IT DOES STALL SOMETIMES....

Do to the loss of battery power while changing your battery, your Engine Control Unit (ECU) has reset and need to re-gather information. It is also possible that your battery does not have a solid connection causing loss of power and loss of data for your ECU.

Check your connections and wiring to your battery to make sure you have a solid connection and no frayed wiring causing unintentional grounding, and insuring any corrosion has been cleaned from the terminals of your battery and the battery terminal clamps.

turn on your vehical and ideal it for 10 to15 minutes. Do not rev the throttle/engine during this time as your ECU will be gathering info from the idling and will adjust to compensate during this idle time. Typically you should be able to drive the vehical with no issues after this time. A 30 minute freeway drive following your idle should give your ECU a full set of info and your car should run smoothly after that.

2000 ford expedition ,,rough idle in park..rough idle in drive,, sometimes dies..rpm's in drive at idle 400...replaced iac

Check the fuel pressure at the rail assembly, there should be a min of 40 lbs at the rails. Do you have any loss of power under a load? You may have an issue with your o2 sensor that is causing the ecm to send an improper signal to the engine ign/fuel map.
