Have a 1997 Park Avenue that the interior lights will not come on. Reading lamps do not come on with their switches either. Rear defogger also doesn't work. Have checked fuses/relays in all three fuse blocks that I thought were related, none were bad. Wound't say it's a door switch because lights will not come on with any door open. Please help.

SOURCE: Interior lights don't work on 1997 Buick Park Avenue

the fuse box you are looking for is under the dash on the passenger side, you will need to remove the plstic kick plate then look up and a little to the right, you might have to remove three screws located along the rear edge of the panel, when you have the cover off in the upper left hand corner of the fuse box you are looking for a fuse that is marked [ SBM ] this fuse is for you interior lights, there should be extra fuses, in the second row second from the bottom and the third row second rfom the top, you'll know their spares if they pull out really easy and have no metal connectors inside the slots you just pulled them out of.

My rear defroster won't work I have a 2000 Buick Park Avenue

Could be a bad relay !
The rear defogger circuit is protected by a 40A fuse. Voltage is supplied through the fuse to the rear defogger relay. When you press the rear defogger switch, the heater and A/C programmer sends a class 2 message to the body control module (BCM), to ground the rear defogger relay coil output circuit. This in turn closes the relay contacts allowing current to the rear window grid.
Do you know what a class 2 message is ? What a BCM is ?
HTD BK relay in rear fuse box ,location In the center right rear of the passenger compartment, under the rear seat cushion

Where is the fuse for the rear window defogger ?

There are 3 areas the fuse could be.

Under the hood (unlikeley)
Under the rear seat (more likely)
Behind the instrument panel (probably not)

But I would check all three if possible.
