Question about 1994 Buick Century

1 Answer

Electrical issue In my 1994 Buick Century 3.6 the power locks, headlights, tail and brake lights, interior lights, radio/clock memory have all stopped working. The power windows still work. I've replaced fuses, but don't know where to start after that. Yes, I'm a girl so I don't know much about where to start, but neither does my car buff boyfriend...help please?! Having to be home before dark is cramping my schedule!

The tail lights and interior lights do not work on my 94 buick century. The anti-lock brake light will come on and off and so does the check engine light. I've tried to replace the fuses but nothing has worked..is it something electrical? will it cost a fortune to fix these problems?

I have the same problem with my 1995 Buick Century. The lights, horn, and power locks all stopped working.

It might be a electrical wire shorting or bad.

I had solved a majority of my problems by getting my electrical system looked at (turned out a brake wire was bad, and several needed to be replaced.)

Responding to your question, it may be a bad battery as well

Dash and tail lights not workjng brake and turn signal on passanger side not working

The dash and tail lights are on two different circuits, and the brake and turn signals are on different circuits, so at least 4 circuits total.
I would start at the headlight switch and check for power on the first two issues.

Headlights work but no other electrical. no interior, no gauges, no tail/brake lights, no radio, no windows

Did all electrical failures happen at the same time? Does the engine run? Possibly a large high amp fuse in the electrical distribution box under the hood.

Have a problem on my 1991 buick century the following dont work anymore... horn, interior light, radio, door locks, exterior lights, windows. but i push breaks and the brake lights turn on and emergency...

You have a definite problem electrical. Get it checked quick because there may be a live wire cut and it could ignite or burn something out in the car.

I have no headlights no power locks, my radio and clock reset when the car is turned off

Your Car's lights, power locks, and radio are sometimes on the same fuse...check your manual to locate the fuse panel and inspect for blown fuses...

WHAT IS A BTN FUSE ON A 1992 MAZDA MPV . IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE HEADLIGHTS OR DIMMER SWITCH I THINK

BTN stands for Body/Tail/iNterior. It protects the HAZARD, ANTENNA, ROOM, STOP, ILLUM and ABS fuses in the cabin fuse box, which in turn protect the hazard lights, antenna, ECU memory, brake lights, tail lights2.gif, ABS, power locks, clock, horn, illumination, stereo, HVAC, interior lights and alarm. smile.gif __________________

Electrical problem

I just had the same issues. No headlights, interior lights, power door locks, radio controls on steering wheel, or dash lights. Pulled every fuse in cab and under hood, not a one was bad. I disconnected the battery terminals for a few minutes. When I reconnected them every thing was working.
