Question about 1995 Lexus ES 300
Hello: You will have to remove the door panel no matter what, If it is a broken handle there are two 10 mm bolts to remove it, but you need to check the rod that connects to it, sometimes the clip breaks and the metal rod falls out.

unless you are mechanically inclinde don't mess with it get someoen you love and adore to do it for you, you can break the tabs that hold the door on and it can get expensive the worst part is it might not open at all if you don't understand how to operate it unless you have one of the experts here helping you with it step by step, but could take as much as 4 hours depending on your ability to work with your hands. Some people just don't need to own wrenchs they are a danger to themselves and the public at large, not saying they are not smart but just don't have the know how and motor skills. I am telling you this so you won't have a headache on your hands.

Use a flat tip screwdriver to pry-back the door a little while shinning a flashlight into the ashtray, use another flat customized piece of metal or coat hanger to pry the pack of gum loose as the door opens. You'll find the gum pack or item has wedged the door shut - when loosened the door will open.

Same thing happened with mine. It turned out that the
power door lock motor went out. Since the handle or the switch can unlock the
driver's door, both of these mechanisms are connected. When the door lock motor
goes out it freezes in whatever position, it was last engaged.
