My 2012 accent manual tranny stuck in gear. No prior problems or warning signs. Clutch is engaging seems to be fine. Any help?

There are forks in the transmission that shift from different gears. They break and wear out. Bears will also cause a symptom like this, but they will make noise.

My 1995 bmw 740il wont shift into manual drive. im not sure what gear cars in but the trans isnt shifting. both of the cables to the throttle is broken i discovered could that be the problem and what

Service the transmission for the shifting issue. However going from auto to manual is an electrical switch. Car wont shift till car is at high enough rpm level.

Goes into limp mode, just restart & will run for awhile again. checked fuel system & convert, 4 sp. auto, changed ext. shift module.

Did this happen all of a sudden? Is this a 4 or 6 cyl. engine? Did you have anything done to the car just prior to this problem or within the last couple of months? How many miles on it? Any aftermarket instillation's?

2005 ford ranger 6 cyl auto trans - how to drain

I would pickup a plastic manual pump syphon hose, insert it in the transmission fill tube and pump out the appropriate amount. You should be able to buy on cheaply at most auto parts or home improvement stores.

Have 93 grand cherokee limited, 6 cyl, auto xmission. start it & go to reverse or drive it just shuts off. act as if torque converter's looking up but I've learned it doesn't have one. if i put it into...

Every automatic transmission has a converter (except really early 50's chrysler clutch flites)
And yours does have lockup feature (fourth gear)
Likely it has failed.

Reverse suddenly quit 95 toyota camry 4cyl auto

Check your transmission fluid level asap. if the level is good, you will need to inspect the shift solenoids located inside the transmission pan. replace any solenoids that are proven to be faulty. i would also advise to test the pcm/tcm for its operational value as well. this device controls the shifting patterns of the auto trans.

while checking the solenoids, if you notice any metal fragments on the bottom of the pan, this will be a sign of major gear friction. you should re build in this case.
