THE O2 sensor is located on the exhaust, back side of the motor (firewall), look straight down at the exhaust pipe, and you will see it!

How to Replace the O2 Sensor in a Buick Century Car?

O2 sensor needs to be replaced when you get low gas mileage in car.
The procedure to replace is as follows: ----
1) The oxygen sensor is located under the car.
2) Put the car on jack stands on the rack, this will give you proper sensor location in the car.
3) The sensor has to be turned a bit then it can be easily removed.
4) Most of the times the O2 sensor comes out very easily but if its bit hard to remove it then you can use "FREEZE spray" to make it gets loose.
5) The spray will make it come out easily.
6) When the O2 sensor is getting removed, some of the wiring's will also come out.
7) Before removing the O2 sensor, take the note of the wiring's and the position of wiring so while inserting new O2 sensor you don't get confused.
8) Now after you remove the old faulty O2 sensor out. Carefully insert new O2 sensor in same position.
9) And reverse/refit all the wires / parts which you removed while replacing the old O2 sensor.
This will help. Thanks.

This is Bank 1 (closer to the dash panel) Sensor 2 (located after the catalytic converter).

---
Note: A malfunctioning front oxygen sensor may cause fuel trim codes to set.
  1. Several Diagnostic Trouble Codes use specific terminology to refer to sensor location. The illustration and key below explain the following terms:
  2. Engine BANK Bank 1 is closer to the dash panel, (also referred to as RH or right hand). Bank 2 is closer to the radiator, (also referred to as LH or left hand).
  3. UP Refers to Sensor 1 or "front sensor". It is located closer to the exhaust manifold and before the catalytic converter.
  4. DOWN Refers to Sensor 2 or "rear sensor." It is located after the catalytic converter.
  5. The following examples show how to interpret oxygen sensor terminology:
  6. B1/S1 = Bank 1/Sensor 1 = Dash panel side, BEFORE the catalyst or "upstream"
  7. B2/S2 = Bank 2/Sensor 2 = Radiator side, AFTER the catalyst or "downstream"

How many oxygen sensors are in my 95 oldsmobile aurora? and where are they located?

LOCATIONS There are different locations in the exhaust system where O2S sensors are positioned. The locations have been given numbers and will be used in the accompanying charts to identify the positions of O2S sensors in most vehicles. Due to mid-year production changes or factory inconsistencies, all models may not be covered. If a vehicle being serviced is not covered in the charts, inspect the exhaust system (while cold!) in the general locations to find the applicable O2S sensors. NOTE: If equipped with dual exhaust systems, there may be up to 4 or 5 O2S sensors in the exhaust system. Be sure to locate all of them before commencing with any testing or service. What is the meaning of troubleshoot codes 34 and 45 for a 1988 buick regal, 2.8 motor. how can I fix them.

Hello;
Code 34 is MAF sensor out of range. Code 45 is O2 sensor lean. Check the voltage at the wires to the MAF sensor first, then check the vacuum to the sensor. Your MAF sensor has probably gone out, causing the O2 sensor to fault.
Hope this helps, you will need a digital volt meter and a vacuum gauge to test. I have seen the wires break down in the insulation to cause fault.
Thanks;
Rich
