Question about 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis
Headlights come on/off sporadically. When on "automatic" inside garage when its dark enough for them to come, they will come on and stay on for a few minutes, then go off--but parking lights remain on. At this point, can go to "manual", and they won't come on. Let the car sit for 30-45 minutes, and they will come on manually or automatically, but once you turn them off, they won't come on again. All other lights work -- turn signal, passing high beam, emergency flashers, brake lights, dome lights.
All fuses have been checked. A new signal lever switch (on column) has been installed. Light Control Module replaced. All with same results. Could it be a relay or light switch on the dash? Help!

The recommendation above is strongly sound well but, before psending big amount of money to replace the lighting controller it is better to check the wiring connection of the existing one since i had the same problem, and after i aligned the connection wires, lights became healthy and functioned well.

My mechanic says it's the Electronic control module. He's about to replace it for $700.00
