Getting the car scanned is advisable.Check engine light on?
The check engine light
comes ON when the cars computer (the ECU) notices any kind of electrical
problem in car. In some cases the check engine light comes on then turns off.
In that case the exact error is not getting confirmed so this happens. But once
the problem gets confirmed the engine light will remain permanently ON till the
problem gets solved. In this case I suggest you to get your car scanned at
autozone service center. It's absolutely free. In case in car scanning, if any error code is retrieved

check air filter for dirty , how many miles or kms have your car? , maybe need to replace spark plugs, try to reset the ecu for a momentany malfunction, remove the negative battery terminal few minutes and reconnect,start engine and drive, check if lights goes off , please write me

it will run fine the air pump is for emmisions purposes only.if you have emmisions checks were you live then your going to want to fix it or you will fail the etst

Try removing the negative cable from the battery. Leave it off for a few minutes and see if that resets the code.
