I just had the same problem and took the panel off by taking all the screws out. Some are hidden behind black covers including one behind the door handle. My problem is now getting the door panel back on to the door. Haven't figured out how it goes back on.

Taking off and windows

Either you have a bad Window Motor/Regulator assembly or the window track is bent or damaged, causing window to bind as it's going up - then the window motor's stop-sensor thinks the window has hit something as it's going up (like an arm or a head)[safety mechanism] and the window shoots back down to the fully open position. - so check for a binding window track/rail.

Windows defective

The window track is out of adjustment and the track lining is probably warn. You need to remove the door panel to gain access to the window track. Once in the door you will see the tracks and the adjusting nuts. Loosen the nuts and snug up the track, not too tight and not bent.Try the window a few times before reassembly. Great truck I hope he enjoys it, good luck.

Cable fell off track

You will need to Remove the Door Panel. Look for Screws and Screw Hole Covers first. Start at the Bottom of the Panel and work your way up. There are Holes in the Door Behind this that will allow Access to the Window and Components. Just look and see if the Glass is Off Track. If it is Use Clear Silicone and Reinsert the Glass. Roll it up all the Way and wait 24 hour or more for it to Dry before you roll it down again. If it is a Belt or something, You will be able to see it. If it is gone, Reach down inside the Door at the Bottom and Locate it.
