Close all the doors and lock them. Try unlocking the passenferside door. See if that esets the alarm. If not let one of the windows down lock the doors and with the key left on disconnect the battery than reconnect it. Reach in the car throw the window and get in, Turn the key off than try starting it. Hope this helps. Leave comment.

Alarm goes off on unlock

the key fob disables the alarm when you unlock it. either get a key fob or disconnect the alarm.

How to disable alarm on 1999 dodge durango

Battery removal will not work. What will work is this: Use key to lock and then unlock driver's side door. I unclipped both horns at passenger side of engine compartment at front because they will go off while you are doing this procedure. I used this procedure last night after a rear passenger accidentally set of my alarm. I know this works! My vehicle is a 99' Durango.

I tripped the alarm in my 1998 durango at it nd i need to no how to reset it so i can start my truck.

What you can try doing is disconnect the
negative battery cable. Put the key in the ignition and turn on. Reconnect cable and see if alarm is quiet and if egine will start.

If not call dodge service center/ Unless its after market then you can rest this. There will be a red push button somewhere under the dash """"IF AFTERMARKET""""

1998 toyota Avalon, the car alarm is going off when opening the drivers door manually with the key (remote is broke) and then the car will not start.

Same here... I have a 1998 Toyota Avalon XL. My car battery died. Replaced my car battery, but found out that when you unplug and plug the car battery with this car it engages in security mode (I have factory car alarm). This disables the engine and wont let you turn the ignition aka start the car engine until the remote (keyless entry) "UNLOCK" is applied. My remote is also lost so I cannot disable the alarm.
The only thing I can think of to do is unplug the battery again to disable everything (car alarms are annoying...) and call the dealer to pick the car up and perform the diagnosis. Most likely they will offer you another keyless (ugh... expensive) and/or you could ask to disable the factory car alarm.
I know thats not much help but it seems to be the only option from what I researched currently....
