The eaisest way would be to find a used switch and replace the old one, If this key broke you might break another one with the same switch. This job is not hard t all, iven a begginer can do it. just watch where everything goes when you take it off

Hi there if your key has broken in the barrel you might be able to get it out with a strong magnet or a pin if not you will have to take the barrel out and strip it down if its broken at the **** of the key you may only need that peice and take it to timpsons they can cut you a new one. If the key is broken further towards the tip you will need both parts and a key cutter will still be able to cut you a new one hope this was a wee bit of help to you

2005 Volvo S40 with key stuck in ignition. It turns off but key doesn't come, out of the steering wheel. Please advise needed, if lock change is required estimated cost of part and labour please.

Some ignition system locks will not release the key unless you push in towards the column while turning further off. It is a safety device to stop in advertent removal of the key while moving. Try that first.

Having difficulty turning the key to start the vehicle. The worn out key works better than the less used one. will start if you leave the keys in the ignition but when you take it out seems to lock up

Sound like ignition teeth are just worn out from use. The reason the worn out key works better is inside ignition has formed to it, only way to fix this completely, is replace ignition, before no key works. Let me know , thanks mike

2000 toyota corolla key will not turn in the ignition switch. tried jiggling the key, etc. but no luck. need idea on fix and approx cost in northern virginia area. thanks

Put a little machine oil on the key and insert it into the lock, move it around a bit and try again. You might be lucky. I have done it before successfully. Don't force it too hard, a broken key in the ignition is a bigger problem.
