Question about 2004 Honda Accord

1 Answer

I replaced the cd player in my accord, the one before worked when i took it out, the radio i put in works as well tested it with hot and ground wires and a speaker to every terminal before i hooked it up and after . but when it is hooked up to the car it will power up start doing every thing but no sound will come through the speakers. I get signal to every speaker when i tested the speaker wires with a C battery. what could be the problem. I used the factory wiring harness with adapter to hook it up so the wires have to be right i think.

On many cars there is an exterior amp that the sound goes through before it is sent to the speakers. If the remote turn on wire isnt connected after you take your previous cd player out then the amp wont know when to turn on and therefore no sound will come from your speakers although your cd player is doing its job.

I have a 94 Honda accord just recently put a new jvc CD player in and has no power then tried the old CD player and same luck I changed all fuses and still nothing the cig adapter works on the panel and...

You need to see if your power wire has power to it. use a dvom or a test light if your getting power from your power source and the unit still does not work them you need to check out another ground source for your ground wire.

If there is no power on your power wire then I would run power directly from the battery source like your cig adapter.

Radio and cd player do not work on my 95 bronco...should i replace it or try something to test it?

i would test it even if you go with an aftermarket radio you will have to have all your power and grounds.to test it simply pull the radio out to get the the wires. The red wire is a 12 volt ignition when the key is turned on it sends 12 volts to turn the radio on,the yellow wire is 12 volt constant it should always have power on it.,and finally the black wire is your ground the easy way to test the ground is to simply take a test light and hook it onto the positive post of your battery prob the wire and make sure it lights up.To check for power just do the opposite hook the lead on the light to the ground post on the battery.you may have to have a wire ( a jumper wire) to use to hook in between the battery and the test lead on your light.

Jammed cd player - 2002 Honda Accord

The same thing happened to me. Supposedly you can't put burn cd in that radio. So I need to get it fix or get a new one. I took out the radio fuse out waited about a minute, then put it back on. Now it works just fine but the only problem is that I won't be able to change the CDs that r in it. I'm stuck with the same six until I could get it fix but for now ill deal with it.

Jeep radio w/cd player

begin with the easy one. code is for battery disconnect.(if you had the battery disconnected while installing that will explain it) if you ground the antenna wire to the chassis does it still spark? Is it a power antenna? I'd make sure that somehow the clock and radio wiring is not reversed and that the radio is well grounded (you can add a ground from the case to the main dash rail if you need to. As with any used item, there is a possibility also that there is just something wrong with the radio, but I don't think that yet!

04 tiburon, I have power at the radio and to the amp but no music, put in new amp still no music????????????????????

What features exist with this radio?... CD player, AM/FM w/cassette? When you write 'no music,' do you mean none of the features are working AT ALL? You said you've verified power at the radio. Did you verify this because the visual display comes on (radio station display, CD track, etc)? Does this image/pic look like your radio? If so, there are TWO power inputs to it.

Yellow wire & Red wire (Y=pin 7, R= pin 16). Pin 16 is always HOT (ON), and pin 7 is ONLY HOT when the ignition key is in Accessory or Run position. You also have a connection/circuit to the amplifier - pin 12 (white wire with orange stripe) to pin 8 of M63-2.

Hope this helps. Once you've verified you have good connections (power & grounds -- and no shorts to ground), I'd say the audio head (radio) is defective.
