Question about 2002 Kia Rio
Car won't start and i would like to know, where are the timing marks should be
Turn crankshaft so that timing marks on belt pulley are aligned with marks on engine . The 'I' on intake pulley is on top and the 'E' on exhaust pulley is also on top.Align crankshaft pulley with mark on engine.If your timing belt is broken then major damage to the engine has occored and kiss it good bye.

My car is a 2003 the belt teeth were stripped and someone tried to crank it afterwards does this mean the engine is shot.
