see if the a/c clutch is engaging when a/c is turned on. The clutch is where belt goes around at a/c, you should be able to hear a click from it, if it is working! Raise hood, start car and check for a bad clutch. If clutch is not engaging check for a blown fuse. God Bless!

1 Does the fuse blow when the heater is on, or just the AC?
Yes- Fan motor problem likely need new blower motor.
2 Disconnect the AC compressor clutch wire. Remove the blown AC fuse, connect a multimeter across the sockets for the fuse, measure DC voltage across the two sockets with the AC switch, and Ignition switch ON. Is Battery voltage present?
Yes- The wiring harness has a short between the output of the AC switch and ground, likely a pinched harness.
No- The AC compressor clutch is shorted. Replace either the whole compressor or the clutch.
Think its coincidence, but sounds like you have a blow fuse, am I correct at thinking you have to put your foot on the brake to get the vehicle out of park? The park lock is operated on the same circuit as the brake lights, the indicators are also on the same circuit, just a thought, worth a try. Good Luck.
no low freon doesn't have anything to do with the blower, but the click noise you hear is the clutch trying to enguage but not spin, if your blower is working then you don't need to replace the blower, but if blower works but no cold air and freon is at ok levels and the clutch isn't spinning which is in the middle of the ac blower pully then the clutch needs to be replaced, if you add too much freon to the system you can get it to start then stop spinning then spin again on and off untill is at ok levels. i know this because this happens to me every summer in the desert when I recharge my freon.
This won't be a complete solution, but here's a place to start. Have the engine running, truck in park. Open the hood and stand to the side of the truck. Have someone help by sitting in the truck turning the AC on and off over and over. Your AC pump runs off your engine belt and has a clutch on it so that when you aren't using the AC, the pump doesn't turn. You should hear the AC Clutch engaging and disengaging as your helper cycles the system on and off. If you don't hear this, it's probably an electrical problem and the clutch isn't hearing the signal to engage. If you hear the clutch clicking on and off (usually a pretty discernible click) and if indeed the system is charged well with refrigerant, then I would suspect the clutch may be worn to the point that it won't engage. Either of these is a fairly expensive fix, and should probably be done by a mechanic. My truck has to be drained of refrigerant before the clutch can be changed, and if this is the case for you then that refrigerant should be captured and recycled rather than let go into the atmosphere. Also, if work needs to go this deep, filters should be cleaned and lubrication replaced as well... a mechanic will do a great job here. If it's electrical then the solution shouldn't be as involved, but nobody likes electrical work so the price is usually high anyway. :) Good luck!
two things to check, One the belt itself, if its worn or loose,, then the clutch won't turn properly which will keep the AC from working correctly,, and second is the clutch itself, if your not sure of how to do this , you might want to just pop into a service mechanic, they usually will do a quick inspect for next to nothing
The ac compressor is probably siezed. When you're turning on the ac it cant turn the compressor so its blowing the fuse. It could also be that the clutch windings are shorted.
That would be my first guess.
You can locate the wires on the compressor clutch that engage the clutch, remove the belt, and leave the engine turned off. Apply power from the battery to the clutch wires and see if you can move it at all with your hands. Use small gauge wire and maybe put in a inline fuse. If the clutch is burned up it will blow the fuse. I think the inline fuses are pretty cheap at a auto parts store. If its not burned up, and you cant move the pulley at all by hand, more likely than not you need to replace the compressor.
