Im assuming that you have taken lug nuts off and wheel still isnt coming off. If this is the case. Take all the lug nuts except one off and take a hammer and hit the wheel on the side thats under vehicle and that should pop it off. Hit it and continue rotating it and it will come off.

How to remove rear wheel

Hi, I hope I can help with this.
You should only have to remove the lug nuts and the wheel and tire will be removed. If you removed the center wheel nut then it sounds like you are trying to remove the brake rotor. To remove the wheel the 5 or 6 lug nuts need to be removed. To remove the rear spare tire there is a plastic cover to remove which then has a key hole (locks for security). You will need to unlock this as well.

After removing all visable fastners, how do I remove the rear bumper cover from a 2005 4Runner?

you have won! you found out why dealer repairs cost so much. just look in the unobvious places and remove fasteners. like under the sill plate for the tailgate? maybe under carpet or plastic around rear wheel humps? under taillights? behind inner wheel covers under the car?good luck. future use, HAYNES manual. a good thing.

I'm not having any problems I just want to make sure its OK to have smaller tires in the front of a 4 wheel drive truck

on a 4x4 you need to have the same size tires front and rear as it can mess with the gear ratios when in 4 wheel drive as the front won`t be turning the same as the rear, not to mention the gears in the transfer case turning at different rates that are different that what was designed.

When bleeding the brake, should the engine be running

Engine should be off and pump brake about 4 times to release pressure, then bleed, driver side rear, passenger side rear, passenger side front, then driver's side front, use a bleeder kit.If pressure won't hold and you have drum brakes, remove both rear hubs and check wheel cylinders for leakage.Check flexable fuel lines at wheels and it could be a bad brake master cylinder.

How do I pull/replace rear wheel bearings on 1995 Mitsubishi Montero sport?

i assume you mean **** when you type *****,just say ****.this sounds like the rear tires may be out of blance or has a defect in the tire(s).a wheel bearing won`t cause a vibration unless the bearing is so bad its about to or is coming apart.a wheel bearing will make a noise like a humming or growling noise.have teh wheel balance check and the condition of the tires checked for belt separation or bulges.

Need to remove the rear wheel to replace brake pads. Have lugs off but wheel is held by another system. Does it take a special tool? Vehicle is a Chevrolet pick-up model 1500, year 1993

if you have all the wheel nuts off and the wheel won`t come off hit the inside of the wheel and it will come off.sometimes its just rust that is causing the wheel not to come off.

Lug nuts on right rear tire won't loosen! Turning counter-clockwise, won't budge.

pur a long bar on the end of the socket say about 3ft long as the nuts have been done up with a wrench gun ,max torque for a wheel nut is 40lbs and yours are about 120 i reckon

1999 F250 4x2 - was stored for 3 months and when I tried to move it - the right rear wheel turns but the left rear wheel won't turn. Took off the brakes and caliper - still won't move. I can move...

Hello, The rear rotor has 2 sets of brakes on it. The other thing is to look for slight movement in the driveshaft when it clunks. Depending on the rearend, some have to have both rear wheels off the ground to turn each side. And of course the trans in Neutral.

With the rear wheel you have an Emergency brake and a drum brake inside the center of the Rotor.
The rear of the brake backing plate has a rubber plug which is covering the Star-wheel adjustment for those drum brakes. You can try to loosen the Star-wheel to disengage the Emergency brake shoes. You can try pulling the brake cables toward the cab, to loosen the cables.

If this does not help, your Emergency brake shoe probably rusted off the brake mount and is jammed inside the drum. The linings fall off the metal like banana skins. I can tell you that if the Emergency brakes are a State safety requirement, you need to consider new rotors because the drum portion is usually trashed with rust.

I hope my Solution is very helpful to you.

Clunking on the rear right hand side as i'm

hi.

this sounds like a worn ball joint, or bush on the suspension. it is also possible that the shock absorber has failed.

you need to check all joints and components on the vehicle to find if any are loose or broken.

if the rear wheel is spinning then it would suggest that the wheel is actually lifting off the ground as you turn. this could be a serious safety issue as handling and braking can be greatly affected.
it should be fairly easy to find the fault though as everything points to a serious amount of wear that will be quite easily seen, or a component that has actually broken.

please treat this problem as a matter of extreme urgency.
