2000 excursion its been choking out at 3000 rpms and gets worse to the point that you can only go 15 mph it has died on me twice but starts right up but

throttle position sensor has failed on the throttle body. you now need to change the full throttle try on ebay. but get your codes to confirm it has failed.

I have a 1992 Mercury Topaz that needs to get to over 4000 rpms before shifting gears. It is an automatic transmission

Change your transmission fluid and and get a transmission filter kit that should do the trick

Battery light on but if rpms are up to 3000 battery light goes out until rpms drop lower than 3000

If your battery is good, this means your alternator is not charging at the lower RPM as it should -- so you need to check for a loose belt that may be slipping, or the alternator needs work or replacement.

Engine light is on and wont go above 3000 rpms

if you have a autozone near you they will put it on the tester for free and that way you know what is wrong and what is needed to be replace.

Idle control

tps (throttle position sensor) controls the idle and the ideal idle is around 700-850
