Recheck your connections from deck to "non-sub" speakers. Are you using an adapter from deck to vehicle wiring harness OR are all wires individually connected?

Sterio prob

check to see if your antenna wire in in all the way and there is good connection. also to test to see if its the unit or the antenna itself insert a 3 to 6 foot wire slightly striped in the the small hole where the antenna plugs in to the head unit. if you get any stations your problem will be your antenna side. if nothing changes it might just be you got a faulty head unit.

Looking for a wire diagram to hook up a aftermarket sterio from factory on a 2001 chev malibu

In this car you will need an stereo adapter. Some functions of the cars warning system are in the radio. You use this adapter to replace the factory radio. The adapter facilitates replacement of a factory radio while retaining all factory safety warning chimes and audible turn signal indicators. These adapters are compatible with amplified and non-amplified audio systems. Will retain all safety warning chimes. See this web site for more info. Autosound Central. With the right adapter you do not need a wiring diagram. It will be plug and play.

The sterio in my car does not play downloaded music cd's i have made why ?

You have probably downloaded MP3 format. Only recently have manufacturers included radios in their vehicles that will play MP3's. In other words you probably do not have an MP3 compatible stereo in your car

Sterio wireing

you will need to get a cord that connects to the sterio and then you need to match them up with these wires
the colors for the radio that are hooked up to the car are
  • orange is power
  • red is egnition
  • blue is power antena
  • black is ground
other ones will most likely be the sterio wires you just need to find colors that look a like and they will most likely match

hope this helps
