I have a 2002 chevy tahoe rear window that will not latch. It seems as thought the window will not close far enough to latch.

Mine will not latch and the shop said the latch is worn out. I have cleaned it several times and the computer still reads open on the dash even when it is locked. It also flies open driving down the road.

I had a similar problem on my 2001 blazer. The rear window seal joint on mine is located just above the latch, allowing some small amount of water to get into the latch and rust to develop, disabling the latch. After bringin it to the dealer twice, I ended up removing the tailgate interior panel, removing the latch, and cleaning it myself. After the good cleaning, just be sure to oil it (WD-40 or similar) regularly to avoid the issue in the future. Hope it helps!

The latch could be bad. Try latching it with a screwdriver to see if the latch will close at all. If it does it might just need to be adjusted out further.

SOURCE: i cannot get the rear/side window latch to close. any suggestions

Sienna is like Previa... If the rubber seal around the Rt or Left read window is hardened, closing it will feel like this and 'may' break.
Use ArmorAll and hit it a couple 3-4x to soften the rubber seal all the way around (both sides too, front and back) and make the seals supple and pliable again. Should close OK now ;-)

Rear hatch window won't close

First make sure the latch isn't already closed. If so, have some one hit the button as you pull it open with a screwdriver. If it is open and won't latch. Your looking at replacing the door module. Being a 2002, it could be the BCM.

Its called the rear glass latch or rear window latch. It would be available thru a dodge dealership, but obviously expensive. You may try a large parts store like Autozone or Pep Boyz. The third alternative is to call auto wreckers in your area. Its the same latch from 2000-2005 Liberty's. It isn't that hard to remove. The rear door panel needs to be removed, then the latch is attached with 2 bolts, and an electric cable.

My power sliding door doesn't open fully. It makes clicking sound and a somewhat of a jerking motion. It open or closes slighty but the entire it makes the above mentioned noises. Any help would be...

I'm not sure about the noise, but the jerking motion might be because your the center roller (located in the rear middle of the sliding door) has worn out and need to be replace. This is a will known problem.

Your problem is very hard to answer because 05-10 odyssey has so many problem with sliding door.

-door not to open

-door will only open half way

center roller:
-jerking motion when opening
-door kick back close while opening
-door kick back open while closing

Door motor:
-door not to work
-cause door to jam

good luck

Rear window will not latch

This is a little difficult to explain, but I'll try. So please take that into consideration in the rating. If you look at the latch, it is probably closed/latched. Take a screwdriver and put it in there the upper latch would be if it had closed properly. As a surrogate for the latch. Put outward pressure on the latch at the same time you operate the back window release as you usually would to get it back in the open position. Your latch thinks it's closed, so use the screwdriver to release it back into the open position.

2003 Jeep Liberty Limited Glass Latch will not move on own.

Hello and welcome the problem is very simple to resolve first make sure you have battery power turn off vehicle open rear gate unlock doors go to rear gate and look at lock unlock again and push the Grey plastic lock trigger mechanism forward towards front glass close gate unlock again make sure lock is still in the position you just set it to and close glass it will the lock. Normally what happens in this situation was power was removed from your jeep and the rear gate was opened with no power running to electric lock so it stays in a set position you cannot lock the glass because there was no power in the electric lock I will lock once you reset it Hope this help. Rear Window Will Not Close

Turned out that the relay for the dashboard release switch was binding and holding the latch open so that it couldn't close. I just disconnected the cable from the relay to the latch. Can't use the dash mounted release, but the window now closes.

use small box wrench and remove the catch attached to the window. insert 2 washers over each of the 2 connecting bolts ..4 washers required min 2 per side. re attach window catch. This should move the catch forward ehough to depress the locking mechanism.... it worked perfect on my 02 Liberty.
