I have 1996 chevy blazer that turns over but wont start (no spark) ive sprayed ether in it and it tryes to start but no go help
Your in luck, as I own a 96 Jimmy, and have completed most of the upkeep in the last 12 years. If it tryed to start with ether, it probably has spark. You can disconnect one plug wire and connect it to a new plug, clamped to metal part of engine. You can then crank it over and see if there is any spark. Was it running and accelerating ok before it quit running?
What is the mileage? If you have a T12 driver, you can remove the distributor cap? I can then explane how to check the timing chain. Please check wireing harness and make sure every thing is pluged in and no wires are damaged. I suspect the fuel pump due to age, if you have a fuel pressure gauge you can check the fuel pressure at the port at the back of the engine on one of the fuel lines. A set of A/C gauges with the 3/8 SAE fitting. Fuel pressure should be around 26 psi. I can look this up if you need more spacific numbers. Hope to hear from you soon.
