My 1999 4x4 4.3L blazer studders in gear after warm a few mins on city streets and highway, it comes and goes? i have done complete tune up and fuel filter and fuel pump. it studdered less i think af


Check owners manual or manually check to see if there is another fuel filter. Sometimes vehicles have more than one fuel filters which are overlooked until they have problems with them. Most have a filter right along the frame.

That sounds like the automatic choke is not working.

Hard starting,may run ok until it gets warmed up,ticking,backfire


either bad head gaskets,oil pump is bad,start with simple things change oil & filter start car listen to see if you have an air leak around intake and or heads hook an oil compression tester up and see if oil is pumping properly if not could be a faulty oil pump

the cat would have been supplying a certain amount of back pressure if everthing else check out fine ie compression put a cat back on

Car stumbles, backfires until warm


You need to replace your distributor. There has been many problems with these. I had the same problem with my 1993 villager and had tried many different things and none worked. I went to a junk yard and got a used distributor and now it runs fine. I would try this before anything alse.

Engine studdering


i hate to say i had to replace the intake gasket. but do a little tune up first change fuel filter plugs wire spark plugs besure to get the spark plugs your engine call for.some call for platinum. the 98 on up 2000s model call for platinum.have some one check your fuel pressure . it should be 41 to 47 psi. if you know somebody with a code scanner . tell them to scan your car make sure your torque converter on tranny not staying locked up. check under hood for vacuum leaks. good luck
