Question about 1993 Nissan 240SX
THANKS FOR ASSITANCE. OK, WITH ENGINE RUNNING I TURN THE A/C ON , ENGINE IDLES UP, THE AUXILLARY FAN COMES ON, BUT THE COMPRESSOR CLUTCH DOES NOT ENGAGE. COMPRESSOR IS NEW.I ALREADY CHECK FUSES & RELAYS.COULD IT BE THE THE CYCLING SWITCH?.
Yeah have the voltage to the compressor checked!..By turning on the A/C when hot (and not working),Add a test wire to the 12v output of the A/C relay, to "boost" the 12v amps/voltage going to the compressor clutch. As soon as the test wire touches a strong 12v source, the clutch immediately kicks in. Remember that 12v already existed on that wire, but a stronger 12v source helped give the clutch the extra kick it needs. Thank you!!..Hope this helps you out buddy!!.. :)
