Have you checked for fuel pressure at motor with a gauge?

Have you checked fuel trim with a scan tool?

In a 92 GMC Jimmy, Where is the Fuel Pressure regulator?

If this is the 4.3 liter the fuel pressure regulator is located in the intake valley. You will need to remove the upper half of the intake manifold, once removed you will see a small round regulator located at on end of the injector line.

2000 gmc jimmy wont start fuel pump comes on and cuts off but will not start.I have changed the fuel filter and that did not work. Is the pump not building the pressure it needs to start or would my...

the fuel pressure if leaking could cause this the regulator is located under the intake plenum but you should smell gas .if you dont then most likely the pump is bad ,the pump will come on for 2 seconds when the key is on then go off it will not stay on with just the key on only when you crank it will it .so have your fuel pressure checked with a gauge.

Don't know

It depends on what kind of engine you have. If you engine has the big black plastic piece on the top center of the engine, then it is located under that plastic piece. If it does not have the plastic piece, then it is located inside the throttle body. I hope this helps you. Please leave good feedback.

Fuel pressure regulator

How do you know that it is the regulator?
these 4.3 motors had a lot of trouble from 93 to 98, I know I had 2 of them.
What happened to mine was that the intake kept getting very carboned up. After I would clean it, the truck would run fine for about 5 or 6 months, then same thing.
Theres actually a class action lawsuit about this that I believe has been settled, you may have recourse if you bought it through a dealer. Good luck. You'll need it.

Where is the fuel pressure regulator located on a 1999 gmc jimmy

It's on your fuel injection rail BELOW the upper intake manifold. The upper intake manifold MUST come off first.

1994 jimmy fuel shutown @spider?

Hi

A very common failure on these is the CPFI unit , or SPIDER as people like to call it.

There is one single injector which feeds each cylinder via a pipe and poppet. The injector becomes blocked and the engine won't start or run.

Before you go condemning this though, just make sure you have good fuel pressure because the fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump could also have a hand in the problem. Make sure the pump is running, and if not then check the fuse, the relay, and the pump itself.

Very best regards

Geordie
