How to fix the P0455 error code in a Kia Optima 2003. I have already replaced the gas cap and the error still there. I fill up the gas tank and the car will not start until I press on the gas peddle and rev it for awhile

Look at the gas tank filler cap. Make sure the seal in the cap is good. If it is cracked it may be leaking air into the system. Simply replacing the cap usually fixes this problem
This is the common code for a missing or loose gas cap. The code is set when the computer can not seal off the vent system for the gas tank. Other causes can be a leaking fuel tank, faulty gas cap, or leak in the hoses to the canister.
look under the car at the back and on the filler pipe theri should be another pipe a thin one coming from the tank to above the nozzle restrictor, this is a vent pipe from tank to allow it to fill and this pipe could be kinked or restricted in some way ??
My daughter has an 02 Optima would not take fuel unless it was down to 1/4 tank due to back pressure (similar to being full). Ran several hours of
troubleshooting including removing and checking the cannister, which was fine. I
finally found a 1-way check valve that was installed backwards (at the factory).
As soon as I disconnected the valve, the pressure instantly released. We
reversed it and the car took fuel normally. The valve has the flow arrow molded
on it. It should point toward the fill cap, not to the tank. The valve is located behind a panel in the wheel well, near the filler. Small plastic with a blue and black end (at least on my model). Hope this works!
The gas cap needs to be checked.Either its loose or its faulty. The pressure is getting leaked so the p0455 error code for EVAP is showing up.The error is related to gas cap.
Check gas cap.Thanks.Helpmech.
IT SOUNDS LIKE U HAVE MORE THAN ONE PROBLEM. THAT CODE IS USUALLY SET WHEN U HAVE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR GAS CAP OR SOMETHING IN THE EVAPORATIVE GAS PRESSURE VAPOR SYSTEM. MOST COMMON THINGS ARE THE GAS CAP IS LOOSE,AFTERMARKET GAS CAP.
Don't overfill the tank! Sometimes this can cause a overload of the fuel vapor recovery system. This can sometimes lead to a no start problem. Also make sure the gas cap vent isnt plugged.
Try this next time this occurs. Loosen the gas cap and see if it "burps" off a bit of excess pressure. With the cap loose, cycle the key on and off without starting the engine. Replace the cap and try to restart.
