Besides double checking amperage output of new alternator, that it isn't running over recommended amperage, I'd check and feel all cables feeding current for weak spot, as well as clean connections well. Don't forget to look real close at any ground cables as well, when they are bad, it can also cause arcing and high amp draw.

in the centre of the picture? the fuse to the right needs removing and the plastic clip to the left should pull out ,then you will be able to access the bolts if not then the fuse box its self may need removing so access can be gained to the underneath but you should be able to get the bolts undone without doing this ,don't forget to disconnect the battery before you start this work or you will blow more fuses or worse, keep me posted

The headlights fuse on my montero 95 keeps shorting out, a thin wire at the headlight switch plug was in fact melted against the metal housing at the back of the steering wheel, i bridged that wire all the...

Observe the way the fuse burns out.
If the element is just melted in one area, then it's an overload (too much current).
If the element is completely vaporized (sometimes showing as a dark or black) it's a short circuit.
If short circuit, it may require checking entire wire harness.
If overload, check the headlight bulb or circuitry if HID (blue) type.

Good Luck

Renault clio wipers not working

Hi
Expect you have blown the fuse !

Get a torch.
Look under the dash foot well panel, and lift off the fuse box cover, on the back of the cover look for wiper pic, this will show you the fuse location.
Pull out the fuse, with the little red tong tool, that should be in the fuse box, or just your fingers.
You should see the little bridge wire melted across the top of the fuse ?
You should have a spare fuse in the fuse box.
Put it in, and switch on the wipers !

Good Luck !

Run a cable from the battery positive to the fuse box. Don't mess with the wires in the clip they are for the regulator. once you get power to the fuse box, you have power there from the ignition.
