Question about 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix
My daughter's gp will cut off at various times; sometimes it will start right back up, sometimes not. I have replaced the ignition module and all three coils--- which seemed to solve the problem for about three days but now she has the same problem. I plan to replace the crankshaft sensor this weekend. Local mechanics have tried to fix the problem with no luck since no failure codes come up on their analyzers. If you could help, I would very much appreciate it!
I can almost gaurentee it's the crank sensor; I had the exact same problem; the car would actually shut off while I was driving; then start up a little bit later and run for 2 days then quit again.
changed the sensor and no more problem!
