Question about 1996 Honda Accord

1 Answer

Ac out My ac is not working in my 1996 Honda Accord. All of the fuses for the fans are good. There is a wire that comes off the compressor and ties in to a block on the fan motor at the coil that has come off. Will this keep the comressor from running or is it a ground wire? Any Ideas?>

Yes, it will. If it's a ground wire, it mus be connected to complete the circuit. I'd start with that.

The A/C on my Honda Accord isn't working I checked

If the fuse and relay is working ok it could be that the thermal protection on the compressor failed. This could be check by grounding it at which point the compressor should come on.

Honda Accord 2003 4dr LX - AC does not cool always. The compressor does not kick in every time. When it comes on, it is very cold But otherwise there is no click sound. I got it checked by the mechanic...

Most likely a restriction in the lines causing the compressor to shut down after a breif period of cold air. Check for bad orifice tube or thermal expantion valve.

Jump air compressor ac works replace relays same issue HONDA

the compressor may be low on freopn but, the fan problem is most likely the fan motor as it is the low temp fan and will run more often than both fans...to test see if you can switch the fan plugin to the other fan watch carefully that it does not get too hot as the second fan is a safety fan that works as high temp or when using the A\C

Air condition and fan dont work

If all fuses are ok then check wiring to fan and compressor both, if wiring is also ok and current is passed till the terminals then you have two problems, one the magnet forming coil on the compressor head is burnt, you have to replace or get it repaired. second your fan itself needs checking.

1990 honda accord ac blower motor will not work

Check 7.5 fuse (#8) inside the car by your left foot and check the 30 amp fuse in the engine compartment (according to your diagram on the inside of your fuse box lid).

You can replace the fan motor pretty easy but you'll want to unplug it and test it first by running an automotive battery to the plugs of the fan with 2 jumper wires. The fan is above the right foot of the passenger area. There are three 8mm screws to remove then it drops out. Careful with the wiring.
If your fan is still good, you'll have to consider removing your knob and switch assembly to see if something is unplugged in there. Good luck.

Hi, I have an Honda 1996 LX, and the air conditioning has stopped working , also both fans are not working , I have checked the fuses and they seem fine , also I looked at the wires and and nothing stands...

the fans should work only when there is liquid inside , if you don't have any freon then fans don't work and you don't have ac check if you have freon if you don't have than you have a leak most likely on the joints if you have freon then check the condenser if is coming on.
