You will need a unlock code to get your radio working again. Radio
security codes are usually written in your car manual or given to you
when you purchase the vehicle. If you do not have the radio security
code, you would have to obtain it from the local Kia dealer.
Check the owners manual, there's a 4 digit code in one of the manuals for the radio...Try the code 1212 or 1111....if you enter the wrong code too many times it locks up and you have to disconnect the battery cable and re-connect it to reset the lock on the radio...call the dealership service department and a tech will provide you the correct code to unlock the radio
Kia replaced radio in father in laws car but failed to update code. Now wants to sell car but radio wasn't working. Kia no help at all !!! 10000 combinations (mathematically) try 1111. Worked for me. cheers
