1994 Jeep Cherokee Power Window Problem

Master Control (driver's) works all four windows, but there is no individual control from passengers switches. Think the problem is in the driver's side control button, but I don't know what the problem is. Lock and unlock button works correctly. Any help appreciated. Thanks...Sadik The back passenger side (1998 jeep cherokee classic) power window went down but would not go back up. I do not hear any type of motor sound. The driver side back window will go up and down, but only at certain times. I never know when. The front windows works fine. I also do not see the little green light coming on the back passenger window when I press the main door panel. Also this window would go down only when pressing the swith on the door, but not the main panel. Also, I noticed over a period of time that the driver door had to be opened in order to operate the back windows properly. This has been an ongoing problem for about 2 years or more.

sunroof broke, windows (both sides - driver/passenger) stopped working at the same time. I've changed the comfort relay, not convinced it is the motors/regulators b/c windows still lowers/raises slightly when doors are opened. What could be the problem? I took driver side door panel off, two plugs were loose...plugged them back in. What other things can I check?

When you open the drivers door you can see a wiring harness between the door and the body of the car.
You more than likely have wires broken in there.

The power windows just quit working. I have replaced the circuit breaker (30A), removed the door panel and checked the power to the window switch unit. I get 12 volts to the switch unit. It's all four...

If there is power to the switch, the switch is the point of failure. You can verify by checking for power at the window motors when the switch is pressed. It is also possible that there is a faulty ground connection from the switch, but this is unlikely. 99% chance replacing the switch assy. will solve the problem.

I cant get the electric window to close on my 94 Grand Cherokee

you can take the door pannel off and put power to the window motor to get it to roll up. but it sounds like you have a bad master switch( this is the whole switch pannel with all the buttons on it located on the drivers door) go to www.car-part .com to find a local junk yard that will have this part

I have a 2000 cherokee classic. window lock problem?

Before changing the switch, I would check connections. The connection problem would be in the master switch...the one in the drivers door.

PASSENGER POWER WINDOWS NOT WORKING IN 2001 JEEP CHEROKEE

Hi!

To resolve the issue you are facing with you need to check the following parts—

1. Battery voltage at window switch. If no battery voltage at that switch, check for broken wire between door and body it means the motor of the window has gone bad.

2. If window can be operated by driver switch or individual switch it means window switch has gone bad.

3. If the pin connectors are broken then it means the switch connector of the window has become unserviceable and need replacement. If none of the non-driver switch is working then it is a bad lockout switch.

Please check all the above possibilities and repair/replace whatever is gone bad.

Right window will not roll down..

Did you meter the wire at the master switch? If so and you have power the switch is bad, if not you have a short in the wire.
