I have a 99 mercury grand marquis ls the battery light flashes on and off while I'm driving not repeatedly maybe about four times while I'm driving had the alternator checked it was good repla

Battery may have broken plates in cells or cracked plates. May show battery is good , but i would replace it.
Also, starter solenoid may be bad, replace starter as needed.

Why does my check engine light flash while driving

Can you read the flashes?

Try reading the flashes a bit like morse code. something like flash..flash..flash...............flash...........
would mean Error 31. Three consecutive flashes, a pause, then one more flash.

If there are no pauses or anything though, then you will likely need an OBD computer to read the fault.

Light flashes saying check gage, what does that mean? It just flashes while I am driving....maybe twice day.

I'd like to know too. My '99 Mountaineer does the same thing. I also find it annoying that gauge is misspelled.

Hi my battery light comes on after driving for a couple of minutes sometimes flashes a couple of times sometimes just once it only happens after car has sat for more than 5 hrs the headlights dont change...

Check battery connections for corossion. Also check battery to body ground, battery to motor ground, and motor to body ground strap for corossion. Sometimes they corrode under mounting bolt and cause bad ground.

While driving battery light flashes on and of

your voltage is too high. I'd make sure all wires are in the right place and maybe replace the alternator.

Warning lights

hi

the handbrake light means your handbreaks on you switch might need to be replaced
the battery light means the battery is low on charge either a new battery or alternotor need to know more to answer that one
the curled up wire light could be the engine light

i would say maybe a wire has burnt out of you computer in the car has broken i would get it looked at before driving.
