Question about 1999 Dodge Durango
Jack up car, remove wheel assembly, remove brake caliper after moving pads into piston and retainer. DO NOT LET THE CALIPER HANG! The rotor is now free to come off the spindle....accordianman

The crank sensor is on the front of the motor on the case of the timing gear. If you want to replace it, the sensor itself isn't the problem, but you have to actually reset your timing, and get it recalibrated. If the timing isn't set, you can possibly damage your engine. But as far as location, it should be fairly easy to find. Hope all works out.
